Comino

Comino

Comino is the smallest of the three islands and you can find it right between Malta and Gozo. The island isn’t officially inhabited, since the amount of people living there can be neglected. This is without counting the hotel on Comino though, since that’s populated by the tourists during the summer months.
In comino you will find mostly the daytrip people who come here for a walk or to check out the remote little bays. The two popular ones are Santa Maria, which is open to the public and San Niklaw, which is restricted to the people who are staying in hotel Comino.

Blue Lagoon

The highlight of the island is obviously the Blue Lagoon. It’s turquoise water is a must see, which makes it the reason for tourists to come here for a day and swim in this beautiful part of the sea. You’ll find nothing like this in the entire Maltese island area. There are a lot of companies offering daytrips to the blue lagoon, you will find ticketsellers everywhere during the summer months offerig you a trip to the blue lagoon. You have the option for a full- or half day. The boats will anker in the blue lagoon itself and you have the option to stay on the boat, or try to find a spot on the very small beach, which will be a hard task during peak season.
