Gozo is known as a peaceful retreat where you can enjoy a different scenery and pace. The charm of Maltas sister island is immediately apparent. It’s greener, more rural and smaller and the pace of life is linked to the seasons, fishing and agriculture.

Gozo has something mythical. It has been said Gozo is the legendary island of Calypso from Homer’s Odyssey, a forgotten island of peace and mysticism. In the rural area of Gozo you will find many Baroque churches and old stone farmhouses.

Gozo has a rocky landscape and along the spectacular coastline you will find the best dive sites in the Mediterranean.

What completes the island, are the historical sites, forts and amazing views. Also one of the best preserved prehistoric temples of the archipelagon, the Ggantija Temples, can be found in Gozo.

Gozo also has a night life (albeit nothing compared to the nightlife in paceville), its own cultural agenda and some excellent restaurants.

All in all, if you want to escape from the busyness on Malta and go for a more quiet vacation, Gozo is the place for you.
